That was the refuge forum (Texas board). He was fine till he picked it up, that’s when the Fed’s got all huffy & puffy.


BTW- my money is on a vulture dining on roadkill that underestimated the height of that “bambulance”

IIRC they were going duck hunting, hit owl and it lodged in ranch hand type bumper. At some point they decided to take a pic for a joke like they shot it during the hunt and posted on the forum.
Feds over reacted and caused at least one of them a bunch of headaches and a financial loss

That's my guess. Watched a buzzard DESTROY the front end of a nice mid 80's model 4WD 3/4ton subrban running about 70 on 290 between Brenham and Giddings years ago. They were dining in the middle of the road and flew up when we approached but came down too soon after we passed and pyYOW!
There were car parts and buzzard parts flying everywhere.

My assumption is a vulture but there wasn’t much left to identify.

No one was injured in this incident other than Beaky Buzzard.

Pucker factor! Try a bird strike in a DPS helicopter at 3am coming back from oil field theft surveillance outside of Ennis. Needless to say, neither Jack, Don or I had any problem staying awake for the ride back to Houston.
