              How high and back? I shot one 2 years ago that was just below the spine and just in front of the rear hind quarter.

              It was a bad shot because I dropped the bow too quickly to watch the shot but I clipped an artery and he was dead inside of 150 yards. No blood trail. The blood stayed inside the body cavity. My arrow looked exactly like that.

              I let him sit over night and found him the next morning thanks to Mexican Eagles that were on him that flew away when I got close.
