Darn Tough and Smartwool are the brands I wear. Both are great. Smartwool makes a thinner sock that I wear when it's hot. REI has a great selection.

I have some of the Browning ones that go on sale at cabelas occasionally and smartwool. You will not regret spending the extra coin on merino.

I have Farm to Feet. Same lifetime warranty as several others and very comfortable. They also don't slide down my legs like Smartwool did
