Bobcat mount w/Trey Rabbit in Mouth

Many of you will remember I shot a bobcat while checking a feeder and foodplot a yr or two ago. The cat was up in my tree lounge that I had permantely mounted to an oak tree sitting on my cushions eating a rabbit. I pulled my 45 out of the back of my jeans and shot the bobcat standing at my feeder looking back up in the deer stand. He jumped to the ground and was pretty much dead when he hit the ground. I climbed up to find a half eating big ol swamp rabbit. The rabbit was pretty funky and we decided to get a replacement rabbit. Instead of me just shooting one, Trey smoked his first animal ever with a 410. So we had the bobcat and "little Red" at the taxidermist.

I took the cat home this week and spent hours trying to find the right limb to mount him to. I didnt want rock or fake rock, etc...he was up in a tree. This is what I just mounted the cat to. My buddy Kris at Killians here in Hempstead mounted it as well as my other bobcat a few yrs ago. I am plenty happy!

I am going to get rid of the couch and put him in that corner coming out. I would love to get it up off the ground but I dont see that happening. All 4 feet are at different heights and it was a pain to find the tree.

Kris took a regular rabbit form and cut the legs off and head and glued/bondoed them back on at a hanging down angle. Awesome custom work.

Man, that rabbit in the last pic looks as big as the bobcat.
