So finally started on this, now that the shop is done.

Added about a dozen outlets and 6 can lights. pulled all the sheetrock and added insulation and put the sheetrock back.

opened the wall for french doors. Working on this week running new water and gas lines for the water heater.

Havent decided on raising the floor yet.

I had a friend that did this. On the end-cap (new outside wall), he put in windows that perfectly matched the other ones on the front of the house. It was a really nice touch and hid the fact that it was an add on as well. He did pour concrete to level the floor.

I am going to have to level with additional concrete. My floor has a water shed the width of the garage door that is a bout 8 inches deep at the front of the garage, leveling out with the rest of the floor about 8' in.

After that, I plan to go with the tile that looks like wood.

Ttt. This got put on the back burner for a while. Garage door is gone. Poured a concrete footer to put the wall on. Added a walk-in door and window. Covered it and hung hardie.

Now time to raise the floor and finish the insulation and sheetrock

Building it up with treated lumber.

I’m in the same boat as you. Was thinking treated lumber was the way to go too.

How wide did you pour your concrete footer? Just did enough hit swallow?

How much water pressure are you planning on sending to that washing machine?

About 4 inches wide. 7.5" tall. I have rebar in the sides, rebar in the existing concrete below, rebar in the pour and the anchor bolts are epoxied down to the original foundation. Pour with 5000psi concrete.

                                I don't think it's going anywhere.
