New release

I’m looking to try a new release. I’ve always used the type that straps around my wrist. I’d like to try the type that you hold in your hand. What are the best options for hunting?

I went with the Chocolate Addiction - thumb release. Quite a few positive writeups in the archives. Practice with it went great. But field - I will be tightening up the springs - and then still not sure

I tried a couple different thumb releases. I chose the T.R.U. Ball TRex 4 finger release. I am very satisfied with it.

I started with true fire edge that has a smooth thumb release. Tip; when changing from strap to handheld, don’t go wild and spend 150-200 on one, start conservative get used to it. Your groups will tighten up, definitely a different draw and release. Good luck!
