    DIY Boot Socks/Toe warmers

I been using these for the last couple of years and they come in really handy.

I cut the tops off of some wool/poly blend socks that I no longer used.

I then sewed up the ends.

Whenever my toes get a little cold I pull these over the fronts of my boots.

If my toes get really cold I'll slide a hand warmer in there.

The hand warmers are very nice on those really cold days, you just press your toes up to the roof of the boot for instant warmth.

I've tried the ones that you put inside your boots but I hated walking to the blind with them inside.

Added bonus, they quiet down your boots when hunting in a blind/treestand with a wood or metal floor.

I didn't expect many comments on this, but I swear these simple little toe covers make a world of difference when it's cold.

They can turn a miserable hunt into a comfortable one pretty quickly.

Maybe no one knows how to sew?

When I thought of these I really thought I had invented some new and I was going to make millions lol...... nope.

Apparently the same concept is used quite a bit in the cycling area.

Couldn't you just turn them half way inside out and have a double thickness for really cold times?

You can if you want to, but the foot part of these particular pair of socks weren't very stretchy.

A pair of socks takes up more room in the backpack than just the tops.

The engineering feat of hot hands/warmers is underrated. I opened up some the other day for a cold weather outdoor concert and they amaze me every time how warm they get.
