I lost a lot of my hearing shooting a rifle inside an enclosed blind like that. I hope that kid had hearing protection on, but it didn't look like he did.

Not that loud as long as barrel is out the window but to answer your question he did not

And oh do I know what ya mean, the wife shot a deer a few years back with the barrel of a .270 inside the ground blind and I had a concussion for about a month I think
She F'd me up big time with that move!!
She learned when she seen me layed over in pain
