3 Years ago I would have pushed it all the way home. I can’t leave my kiddos without a dad these days.
On the dad note... Steph was at Walmart getting some things yesterday and as they were checking out the lady working asked Adalee, “Are you going trick or treating for Halloween?” She said, “No ma’am, I’m going hunting with my daddy!”
Proud dad moment!
Back on the road, we’ll get in a tree this evening.
Good luck. Glad you stopped and slept. Following this. Saw a buck running 2 does in a drainage area in the woodlands this morning. I'm headed to Centerville Friday. No stands set up, no feeders, but I'll find a scrape and a spot to sit. Been too busy with work to breathe let alone hunt. And I'm itching like I have fleas.
When I crossed the river bridge there was a dang nice 9pt running parallel to 94 for a half mile. It wasn’t far from Huggy Bear’s gate. He’ll have him killed in. day or teo

I’m in the tree. Wind is a little shifty and just kicked up, but I should be ok. Food plot looks fantastic, Ryan was here over the weekend and bumped a bunch of hand corn for me. My card reader is acting up so I won’t get to see what I have until I get home, but lots of good tracks in the plot. When I came back to work there was two targets in here. A boxy looking 11pt that’s probably a high 130’s deer and a “management buck” that I call The General cause he’s high and tight. I don’t really believe in “management bucks” but if I can get the green light on a freebie I ain’t above shooting one lol.
Signal sucks and I can’t post pics but I’ll update as I can.
