Worked it for 4 years ... Hated it!!! Never got fully rested , but of course we always had to work some overtime on our 7 off.... I now have been working 7 on 7 off rotating shift for 10 years and Love it... Cant Remember the hours at the end of the pay period... But what it all boils down to at the end of the day is "Its A Job" ...lol

Been on it for 18 years. Never worked another schedule so nothing to reference it to.
36 hrs one week, 48 hrs the next = 84 hrs per check

It’s not a bad schedule if you get your days off. In today’s time with companies running lean most guys never get their “8” day break. Some companies pay different but most pay 48 & 36 with the 8 being overtime which gives you 88 hours of straight time pay per by-weekly pay period.

Love it. 84 hours a paycheck 76 regular and 8 ot. I have refused going to a mon-fri job, i would have to cancel 2 hunts next year. I will not go to another schedule until i work for myself.

I worked Dupont schedule for a little over three years. We were forced to work overtime quite a bit. Average was around 700 hrs of overtime per year.

I now work 7 on 7 off with no overtime. Work a week of days then a week of nights. I honestly think if i would have got my days off on the dupont schedule I would have preferred it.

              Hope that helps.

Started with Dow Chemical in 2001 where we worked 8 hour shifts (6-6-7) schedule. Hated that. Now been on DuPont schedule for 9 yrs and I wouldn't go back to 8's.

Ive worked it for 15 years, sometimes it sucks. If you get your days off you only work 14 days a month

On my schedule it shows one week you work day day day off night night night
                    Wouldn’t that be a 72 hour week?

This is correct. Been on it 11 years. I’d be lying if I said I enjoy it. But, I just hate shift work in general. If you have to work shift work I think it’s probably the best one.

The 3 day shifts is on a separate pay period than the 3 nights. Our 4 nights and 3 days are on one pay period. Then the 3 nights and 4 days on the other . So on our 3 day weekend shift Sunday the last 8 hours are overtime. On the 4 day shifts Thursday the last 8 hours are overtime. Hope this helps

Probably your short change week. On that week you will be off Monday. Work Tues-Thur. Off Fri-Sun. Next week is hell week.
                            Mon-Thur then off for 7.

                            36 + 48 = 84.

I worked it for 3 years. 3 sifts on 1 week and 4 on the next per check. We have gone to 7 on and 7 off rotating days one week and nights the next. we love it. 7 days in a row off every other week.
