      I just wear this while hunting and chew on a mouth full of corn when the deer look my way. Works great!!!

          Our eyes are centered on our head like most predators. I'd assume they associate that with danger.

              I was in a leafy suit and only my eyes exposed. The hawk landed on a limb near me. I was looking at it, and as soon as I blinked it came right for my eyes. I knocked it away with my bow. I think it only saw me blink and thought I was much smaller prey.

                For me yes...I avert eyes or just avoid completely.

                I just read an older article in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine and one contributor wrote about the “Lost Wallet” technique especially concerning stalking western mulies. Pretty interesting and amusingly effective...for him.

                            no doubt they feel your presence if you stare at them. my experience is in the yes column for 40 years in fact my sons paint their eyelids camo .... hardcore.
