Congrats to your Son - Killer! They have slowly made an awesome comeback. Tore me up a few baby tarpon and snook died during the coldest period in the Laguna this year.

I know things have gotten better.....jumped two baby tarpon fishing the Laguna two weeks after Harvey last summer. Nearly had one landed but.....short line and a hot jumping tarpon alone, makes things tough to do when you fight them up close in shallow water.

Seems to be the newest thing. Capt. Mickey talks a lot about them on the outdoor show and I think that's why everybody wants them. I own a tackle shop and get calls and asked daily if we carry them.

A bit proud with their prices?

I can pick up 3 of these for one Lele.

And these things flat out fish South Texas!

Rack and I fished Port Mansfield tossing these things...from sunup till 3 in the afternoon....all day long in 1 - 2 ft of water. It was flat out stupid.

My go to setup for tops in the mid to lower Laguna Madre. Year after year, STUPID!

I've been using a Rapala X Rap for a few years now, worked just like the Borboleta lures. Similar lure with similar action, just doesn't get all the hype and a little cheaper. It catches fish too.

That would be a Skitterwalk by Rapala.

Live bait vs artificials. I'm heading to the landcut next weekend for The Weeknd. I'm have a hard time with deciding if I wanna mess with keeping shrimp or croakers alive. Or just those artificials the whole time. Help me decide please.
