while this is a true comment, not sure it matters in this case since he's not claiming any records or trying to win the internet for the day . Heck, he's not even claiming the size, just that it was big. I think we can all agree it was a big snake, whether it was 4 feet or 6 feet, its a big snake. Now if he was making record breaking claims I'd be in the same boat as you as far as needing a tape measure on it and such. But there's enough in that picture for me to agree with the general assessment of it being a big snake.
