I looked at the whole video and it did look a tad forward. That being said, I would have thought that the deer would have been found.

I'd shoot the next one in same place. No explanation from me. Good shot

Not sure how that wasn't a quick recovery....

I got no explanation other than they are tough animals. Sorry you lost him.

That's crazy! I wouldn't think that deer would go 50 yards. Looking at the still shot clips,

Did you aim below him anticipating an extreme duck?

Main reason that I never shoot at a deer when its head is down.

                    Sorry you lost the deer.

I would have lost money betting youd find that deer quick!

                          Tough break

Yes I got a full pass thru and the arrow was covered in blood. No blood at the shot sight and first drop of blood wasn't found until 125 yards from where I first hit him.

Pretty sure you killed him. Too bad you couldn't find him. It happens though.

Something about the angle must not be right that cannot be seen on the video because the shot looks good. In other words maybe he turned slightly to his left as he dropped. Putting the arrow slightly in front of his vitals and missing all those major arteries. Deer should not have gone 100 yards. I shot one very similar to this a few years ago. Shot looked great I figured I had a dead deer. Think I had it on video too. Looked for 2 days and could not find him. Couple of weeks later the deer showed up on my friends camera. Shot was too far forward.

I have had great luck with those broad heads.
