The rut can be brutal...

Earlier this week, typical 12 probably scoring in the 160’s.



Today with a broken main beam...




Some of our group was disappointed as they were targeting him.

On the other hand I don’t think he’s hit his full potential and could be an absolute beast next season.

Well crap. Finally start seeing some rut activity and we get too much rain to get around our place. Just got unstuck and headed home.

Rut is definitely getting started in Webb county. We got .25” today and it is a muddy mess. Been sitting most of the day.

Saw both of these bucks today, I shot a doe and my lease mate shot a cull 8. Rut is on and if I had a rifle I could of killed both of these bucks but what’s the fun in that right?

This is one of the rare days I am a little upset my feeder is at 150 yards. Might be a while before I can see it. Should be good for an all day sit tho

I plan on making another trip and will probably head down January 1st. I wonder if the bucks will be back together or still finishing up the rut?
