        Easy fix, Its what I do on my kayak anyways.

        Some par cord and a carabineer, problem solved.

          6" bungee cords wrapped around the front of bait casters and around the reel seat of a spinner and back to clamp. One trip to Alabama and another to Mississippi 80 mph, no issues

            I had a fishing charter captain a couple of weeks ago that had one built to mount in the bed of his truck. It was bolted down using the bed mounting hardware. It was pretty cool. He had two, over-under style rows.

            With it being is "work-truck" I can see the permanence being important. For for a quick install/removal this is a great idea!
