Dewberries; Is the juice worth the squeeze this year?

I went out Friday looking for pigs and dewberries, didn’t find any pigs and really had to search and dig to find enough dewberries. They were in there, but I think those two late freezes we got knocked them back a bit. All I wanted was two Gatorade bottles full, to make a batch of dewberry mead, but it took nearly four hours to achieve that. Anybody else have better luck this year?

My secret patch is coming along nicely. Not quite to peak ripeness yet.

Waiting on my pie. You should come run the golf course with me when they are ready. Loads of them and we can quench our thirst at the same time.

I’ve got a spot covered up as thick as I have ever seen. Probably two weeks away from being ripe though

I have a fence row and a spot near my back pond that has quite a few, but yes, the late frosts, probably cut yield in half. My thornless blackberries got hit really hard, but they've put on a new set of blooms and I have probably 5 gallons of green to slightly red berries coming along nicely on 2 rows about 60 feet long... I picked a bow full of a few black ones last night and poured a little cream over 'em and had myseff a little treat... Hope to make more jelly this year...

I picked a gallon bucket a week ago and this was yesterdays. They are drying up already and will be gone in another week.

The pigs, turkeys and deer have been eating them. The wooly worms too. They seem to be drying up.

Wife made some jelly out of dewberries last week.. its. Not as good as the mayhaw or huckleberry jelly she makes but it's a lot better than eating them raw.. it didnt take as many as I thought it would . The juice goes along way.
