Hey all, thanks for all the info about these snakes, I just ran across one the other day. it was mostly black with some yelow diamond out lines, not quite like the one in the pic, and stood up a bit when flaired out, but I had no idea what kind it was. have learned alot here, thanx

Eastern Hognose they look intimidating but I've never had one try to bite me before I think its all a bluff pretty much.If you mess around with them long enough they'll play dead.If you turn em' back over on their bellies when their playin dead they just turn right back over and act dead again.
