Wow. Looks like your Bpa sent you a dandy. That's a great buck and an awesome heartfelt story to go with it. I just shot a buck myself this morning and I feel like my departed brother was right next to me in the stand when I shot.

I know exactly what you mean. I used to hunt with my grandpa when I was little and McAuthur park in San Antonio wasn't even there. We would go by the Wetmore store and have a coke and he would have a Lone Star. We'd play shuffle board while our 8pt was strapped to the hood of his Chrysler. He would drive around all proud. Great mentor, friend and hunting buddy. I remember him often. Man of little words but huge on action. WWII marine, Guadal canal, pelilu, Okinawa........ Thanks
