    Son's new APR

Bryce and I have been working on load development for his new APR rifle.

He hit a node very early and really wanted to stop testing and go with it.

This 5 shot group was in the 0.2's but was way lacking in velocity so I convinced him to keep working up.

He is now near the top of the load charts and has hit a second node. The two groups here are 0.2 grains different in powder charge.

And both are in the 0.1's.

He is loading these two loads again to shoot over the magneto speed and let tell us which one to go with.

To say we are pleased with this rifle is an understatement!

Good rifle but it still takes great marksmanship to shoot those kinds of groups.

Lapua 30-06 brass Hydro formed to 280AI, necks turned to .06 clearance, flash holes de-burred.
                  Viht N165 powder, Fed 210M primers and 150g LRAB's.

All my son's shooting. I guess we have reached the time that the master succumbs to the student...

That's some serious shooting! I know the gun helps, but you could give me that same rifle and I know I couldn't group like that.

Have you shot many animals with the LRAB? How did they perform?

Several good hogs and 5 whitetail. We like them!

They are finicky on seating depth though.
