Have you ever been to any of the hill country state parks? They are overrun with animals. Some you can almost hand feed the deer in and around the camp sites.
Its a way to allow hunters to try and control the populations in the state parks. Most state parks have buck hunts there on a different draw application.

Kerrville still on doe/spike for now. Maybe some day.

You are right coming from hunting east Texas all my life it is incredible to see that many animals. I got drawn for
Perdnales falls state park last year. between whitetail and pigs it was a target rich environment, good luck tomorrow morning.
