    Cotton Patch in Nacogdoches now has chicken fried ribs!

    Lol I've done it before with some sliced/separated beef ribs. Messy but tasted alright. Much prefer them smoked

      IMO has alot to do with the batter...
      Buddy of mine does them with pork ribs & they are amazing!

          Yep. Pork ribs done this way with some gizzards on the side is hard to beat!

              Started making them a couple years ago. Dredge them in cornmeal,flour, salt and pepper. Dang good!

                  Aironeout got me hooked on fried ribs seasoned and dredged in fish fry mix many years ago on a Texasrodbenders fishing trip.

                    Jack Allen's Kitchen in Austin makes chicken fried beef short ribs.

                    Start with a double short rib. One bone full piece of meat on both sides.

                    Braise the rib for hours until tender.

                    Batter and chicken fry like a regular CFS.

                    About $14 includes mashed potatoes, a veggie side and a salad. A nap is real good after that.
