    Bowie Pig Knife

"Pig Knife" 14 1/2 OAL tip to guard 9 1/4. Stabilized Elk antler handle with Brass Guard, the white spacer between the guard and Elk Handle is Bone. The steel is 52100 ball bearing steel with distress marks for deep penetration of the gun bluing I use. It’s designed to thrust deep into the vitals of largest pig you encounter. It can also be used like a push dagger; the palm will fit for thrusting on the send of the antler. Sheath fits like a glove and with the keeper strap will anchor the knife when running and easy to remove with the flick of the thumb. The sheath is thick veg tanned leather.

Makes me want to make another one too
I have two 19" Heller red tang bighoof rasps left but I just hate grinding them flat. They are good W1 steel though.

Bowies are what started me making knives. For years I used to collect Bowies, birthday days and Christmas I always received Bowies. That's what started the ball rolling for me many, many years ago.

Thanks Sam, I've always loved making Bowies, too bad they don't sell like skinners do. I might just keep this one.
