Never understood why they don't use a **** bull rope but instead a bareback rigging or with some of these new ones a slick short rope with knot on the end. In my experienced you will stay on as long as the operator will let you. That said I have noticed that the more well endowed you are and more low cut the shirt the better your odds are

True if you've never ridden one. In Highschool my buddies dad had one and we rode it on high. Very seldom did we get bucked off. These we the old eltorro, which are a lot different than some of the new ones.

Get up off your back pockets and have your weight on your inner thighs. Shoulders square.
On the turns, chop at the "ear" with your free hand on turns into your free hand.
Dip your glove hand shoulder toward "the hump" on turns into your glove hand.

Hehe. I rode rough stock in college and it was easier to stay on a live one than a mechanical. There's two dial on the operators control, once for spin, one for buck. They go from 0-10. If he decides you're getting thrown he'll just up the numbers and dump you. Lot of fun though and like others have said if you spur that thing he'll see it as a challenge.
