I'm gonna do that as soon as I get it mounted on a barrel. I've been testing it with just corn in the tube, and it empties it to fast to make a good video.

I guess it is a fine example of redneck engineering.

I am working on a homemade solar charger for this thing.
Just salvaged parts from old solar driveway lights & such.

The feeder will have a 14 volt Dewalt cordless drill battery for it's power.
The solar charger puts out 14 volts in the shade.

Actually, I should have said - The solar charger puts out 14 volts inside the shop.

I suggest you get your patent application filed before you do much more by way of publicizing it.

And get a lawyer to help.

                          Thanks for the advice guys.

I've dealt with filing patents before.

It's highly likely, that the only patent I could achieve would be the internal parts of the caster, because as far as I can tell no other casters work this way. That is why I have not posted about, or shown pictures of the internal mechanism.

                            I'm almost done.
Still have to build a basket to hang it in, since the barrels are plastic.

Completely homemade from scrap, and salvaged parts.
The only thing purchased was some paint, and rubber sealant.

Here's the video as promised. I'm very pleased with the final product.
