                      If you think it is gut I would put a dog on him that works off lead. Usually does not even have to be that good of a dog. Just a dog that will work a wounded deer. Young dog would be fine in my opinion.

                            I would go in the am, been there done that. My last gut shot was with trad gear and I shot him again the next morning. He acted exactly like you described, was so happy I waited, good luck

                              The blood stopped I don’t know which way he went. No blood and no arrow. I’m going to go back in the morning to see if I can find him. I’m just sick over this.
