    Pocket watch

Does anyone know much about pocket watches. I was given a pocket watch by my grandmother. She said it belonged to her sisters husband.

From my research it's a Hamilton 992b model 12. Looks to be in really nice shape. It also works and holds time really good. Some day it will be given to my son.

unscrew the back plate and check out the mechanicals. They are remarkable pieces of equipment. Post a Pic!

I have tried a little to get the back off but haven't yet. The front comes off easy but not the back. I may try with a rubber glove on my hand to get some traction.

I have an old Ball that was my great grandfathers. Amazing if you open the back at the mechanics in it and the rubies they used for movement parts...

Hamilton was a good watch. That's the same watch my grandpa carried except his had a gold case.
