On Dec 2, 2017, God blessed with the opportunity to be able to hunt at the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge located just outside of Sherman, TX. He also provided me the opportunity to shoot a buck of a lifetime. Luckily, I was able to do my job and recover this spectacular whitetail buck. This was the most awesome hunting experience that I have ever had in my 15 year bowhunting career. Now that the 60 day drying period is over, I have a date set to meet Mr. Ken Witt on March 18 and get the official score in hopes to make the Pope and Young Record Books.
I would like to give thanks to another Hagerman Hunter that I had just met that morning by the name of Donnie Herod for taking time out of his hunt to help me track the buck. This guy is one cool, serious bowhunting dude and I hope that one day we can meet up and do another hunt somewhere.
Another thanks to my hunting partner Steve Story (storyteller_usa) at Shoot Em Archery located in Paris, TX who was unable to make the hunt due to an issue with his back. He did take time out of his day and made the drive to attempt in helping me recover the buck.

Oh yeah, he'll make the book with a little extra. LOL
I was there hunting in Sandy. Donnie and I put in to hunt together, he is a good friend of mine and we used to be roommates. He is a dedicated bowhunter and is as hardcore as they come. Good guy for sure.
