Wrap in Saran wrap and microwave 1-2 minutes, wrap in foil and finish baking. The microwave will cook from the inside and get it hot, the foil keeps is moist so it is like a restaurant where it is very soft. Try a toothpick to make sure it is ready, bake at 350*.
Oven at 425, center rack, wash and wrap in foil, bake for 60 minutes. I don't doctor mine up before putting in but when it's done: (I chop mine up,) lil' bit of garlic salt, splash of pepper, chunky medium salsa, pepper jack cheese grated, REAL bacon chopped up then top it off with Ranch Dressing.....
Trash can taters. Take the coals from last nights fire and put them in an aluminum trash can. Wrap taters in foil and throw them in. Takes a few hours but they are good.

Rub olive oil sprinkle with sea salt. Poke a few holes and bake for an hour at 400. I like the microwave, but it takes too long if you have to cook more than a few taters.
