My oldest insists on helping slice the heart and prepare for cooking.
He ate most of it himself.
I need some new ideas. A good marinade to soak in for a day or two.

But why cover up that awesome flavor in the first place??

Just cooked a heart for the first time. Sliced it thin, coated it in flour and ragin blaze, and fried it up in some butter. Then made a gravy from the remnants in the skillet. Pretty dang good!
The only bad part is I usually quarter my deer out using the gutless method and now I'll have to start yanking those out. Well worth it though!
