If you'd already leased it for the year, then the landowner should have disclosed the lease to the new buyers who would be bound by it. That is the bought the land subject to the existing lease. Is it worth suing over? Probably not, but it would be excellent leverage if they hassle you or don't want to reimburse your expenses like the 1500 pounds of corn you've probably got to dump.
