I think he did what he should have, and overturned something BO should have never done.

There are all kinds of controlled substances, like antibotics for example, that i don't think should be controlled. BUt they are, and if you sell them on the streets you might go to jail....

If you want to smoke weed then go smoke weed.. The ones pushing for this are probably already doing it and that's your business. I have no problem with it.. Some of you are probably responsible enough to handle it but MANY out there are not..

Don't try to push this crap off on the entire public, we have enough to worry about as it is, without this crap.. Between the drunk drivers, idiots texting and driving, and illegals that have no clue how to drive, we don't need a bunch of stoners on the roads..
Stop the insanity.... What will be next????

And don't say I would handle it by getting high, giggling like a child and then getting the munchies.

Depends on the state...some states allow the municipality to decide if it legal to smoke in public. For example, Colorado allows municipalities to choose, though most choose to not allow in public. But, the industry has gotten around that by creating edibles and the E-Pens (their biggest seller). You can not smell the weed in the E-Pens, they are flavored wax so you will get the scent of the wax. We smoked lemon flavored all weekend in Breckenridge, even in some bars and no one gave a crap. We also weren't the only ones doing it.

To turn a blind eye to enforcement of laws we don’t like is not the answer.

Pure democracy, we are a "true democracy"(when it comes to voting system) but we are not a Pure Democracy because our power is placed in the hands of representatives and not the individual. Thank god we aren't a Pure because our country would have already shifted to full socialism.

The bottom line of what this whole argument comes down to is

"You know, this war on drugs is funded by tobacco and alcohol commissions.
It's not what drugs you're strung out on they care about so much as whose..."

And we've made laws with harsh penalties to curb & regulate this sort of behavior. Driving Under the Influence (DUI) isn't just tied to alcohol...it applies to operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or other drugs. Since 1982, drunk driving fatalities on our nation’s roadways have decreased 51%, while total traffic fatalities have declined nearly 20%. Among persons under 21, drunk driving fatalities have decreased 80%. As penalties get stiffer for distracted driving I'm sure the use of devices while driving will go down as well.

Yes, that was my point. We have a democratic voting system but a representative legislative system.
