Well he didn’t get that big for being stupid. Austin’s colony has some nice ones for sure. Have you seen the 130” 7 pointer that was killed on a neighboring property a few years back?

Yep I still have the pic somewhere in my emails let me see if I can find it
Well this evening wasn't much. Saw one of the target bucks but he was 100 yards out so nothing much I can do there. Another nice 10 with a kicker on his right G2 was between me and a fence getting me with the focus (which I'm having hell with lately).

This was from this past August, North San Antonio just off the loop. We rented a house for a week with family and these were just 2 of many deer that hung out in the neighborhood. Few shakes of the corn bucket, throw it down 10 feet away and they came running! I have video too!
This thread makes me wonder why I pay for a lease to hunt on. I think I have gotten to the point where I might rather just look at and take pictures of animals. Spend time with friends and family and have the deer camp experience.
You guys sure make me miss 'home'. Thornberry Dr on 1179 split our family property. I hunted those deer from 1980 to 2008. We backed up to Austin Colony. Won Los Cazadores biggest 7pt from right there.
Wow. Neighbors. I now live off of Thornberry. I see lots of doe and a few small bucks, but no good ones.
