All checked in and have two locations prepped. White hats have been more than helpful. I saw two does this afternoon on the way out as well as some turkeys. Reveille at 4:30 in the morning. Roll out at 5. I put in 5 miles this afternoon scouting. I am in Deer Creek. Time for a quick dinner and a good shower.

Well, it started off really slow today. And it really is too hot to be hunting. I saw a decent, young 8pt this morning at 9:30. I stayed until 1:30 with no action. I walked down to my other stand that I thought might be a better evening stand. By the time I got there I was soaked. I had two deer blow at me, but saw 4 there this evening. They all knew I was there. I sat in the stand and sweated until dark, so I'm not really surprised. Tomorrow I'm going to stay in my other stand all day as it is in the shade and usually has a good breeze.

It's still 80 degrees right now. What I wouldn't give for an AC tonight.
