As some of you know, my dad went through open heart surgery today. I need your prayers now more than ever.
He was in for close to 12 hours and the results are not good.
His heart tissue is soft and wont hold the stitches and is bleeding too much.
The right ventricle is not pumping the way is should be. Basically, its super tired. They have a machine pumping oxygen rich blood through his thigh and without this machine, he would die in minutes. The machine requires thin blood to operate so that makes the blood loss alot worse.
I will lose my father if the right side of his heart does not pump normally. If it does, they will administer some meds to thicken the blood and stop the bleeding.
I could really use some prayers. Its hard holding to your mother, trying to stay strong for her while your father is fighting for his life. The surgeon is painting a pretty bleak picture, but we still have hope that his heart will work normally. Im just numb to the whole thing. It just doesn't seem real.
