    Project: Rolling Thunder

I had a buddy who started a project of a blind made from a big poly liquid tank that had cracked. He made a big octagon base for it, but never made it any further tan that.
Fast forward a few years, I snatched the octagon base, which measures 8.5' across. I was able to find an old NH3 wagon chassis, throw some tires on it, then mount the big octagon on top.

I added a little platform off the back, plus some brace stands on the front end, which will hopefully be enough to sturdy it up.
My plan it to made the back wall straight across, with a 30" wide door in the middle. It'll be 7' tall in the front, then 6' tall in the back. The other 5 matching sides will end up being about 42" across.

I doubt I'll be hunting out of it this season, so progress might be slow. However, I'll post updates as I go along

I have a few updates here. Ran out of scrap lumber, so I had to make a trip to Lowes and burn some gift cards that I've had awhile. Got enough 2x4's and some other small supplies to finish the frame on this thing.

Got up early this morning and did some work before church.

Thanks! I'm thinking I made it too tall. It's 7' in front and 6' in back. I'm 6'4" but I think it might be a lot way up high like that. Maybe it should only be 6'-5' tall

You always need a little extra head room.

You'll love all the room. I finished up a 8 foot round blind and really enjoy the space.
