    Ugly Gun auction rebuild #1

I was going to wait until I completed the project but I wanted to give you a taste of what's been going on. Thorthunder donated a Mossberg Model 190, 16g. I will do my best to document its progress and what all I'm doing to it. Pics and details to follow.

Then it was time to scrub it down good. I soaked it in carb cleaner then washed it with hot soapy water. I blew it dry, sprayed the inside with RemOil the hit the outside with turtle wax.

I then stripped the barrel down. It had a little surface rust and some slight pitting so I sprayed it down with EasyOff to remove all the rust. I then washed it with hot soapy water followed by a good rub down with 2000 grit wet sand paper. I washed it again and blew it dry.

Will post more pics and details as work is performed. I did sneak out to the shop last night, removed the clamps from the stock and hit it lightly with some sandpaper. This is going to be one SWEET 16!

BTW, I ordered several little parts for her earlier this week so maybe they will be in by the time I'm ready for them.

Looking Good. I would appreciate some details on what you use to blue the barrel and the process.
