That is good stuff. My aunt and uncle would can deer meat. Just open and heat it up put it in or on anything you want. As far as storage if un opened store it like a can good once opened put in fridge. I forgot to say pour water and juice off. It will be so tender you won't believe it.
With my extremely limited experience with home canned meats, the first suggestion would be my option, you may like it, but I sure wouldn't be expecting a Dinty Moore or Austex flavor. One of my grandmothers friends used to swap canned meat for canned fruit/veggies, the only way I could tolerate it was when it was made into some kind of casserole with lots of cheese and noodles-Lots!
I am guessing open jar...smell jar...carry jar to OUTSIDE trashcan and throw away! I don't have experience with canned meat so that is just a guess. You could save time by going out to the outside trashcan prior to opening.
Tagged. Heard a lot of people talking bout eating it (moose) ND/Canada for 4 years but never actually seen anyone doing it lol. The canned meat part is cool tho, Never seen that. Might be a handy skill to learn. However deep fried bacon wrapped pheasant is DELICIOUS!
