Can it be possible that the inserts where glued in with hotmelt only on one side?
Instead of getting hot melt all the way...

Already frustrated. Adjusted everything. Changed to lighter points, changed nocking point, changed brace height, cut 1 3/4" shorter and got them flying like darts...

You may be looking at a nock low, instead of a nock high. And it could be bouncing off the bottom of the shelf and making it look as if it where a nock high.

I once shot a spike that was facing me at about 100 yards.
Shot him in the neck and recovered a barely expanded bullet by the tail.
