Probably not best to eat meat raw that's cooked that way. I wouldn't make a habit eating it like that but you're probably going to be fine.

I grind all my own burger from brisket and cook it to medium rare all the time. If I cook burgers with store bought grind I still cook medium rare.

That's not true. I drove a Dodge and then Ford diesel. Gas for me from now on. Unless you pull heavy loads a lot, There's no advantage to owning a diesel.
