Was that shotgun in a flood? I would suspect more going on there than a return spring and surface rust. The gas system for this shotgun is somewhat notorious. Buyer beware.

I have a set of Border Hex5 limbs at 34# and really like them. Not as radical as the hex 7 but very smooth and quick for their draw weight. There is a pucker factor to stringing the limbs at first....

I'd raise the nock point to 1/2" and tie on a second nock point under the arrow and see if that kick goes away. Sounds like too low a setting and hard contact on the shelf. Looking pretty good...
