I have never seen the scenario in which a Nikon 2.5-10 would not do the job I want done, but then all I do is hunt. No long range target and no shots on game past 350 yd. I use binos for looking.

In my experience dropping a few pounds will not. Crossing the “spine line” might though. I’ve dropped from 65 to 58 and have still been ok. I even changed arrows from Axis to FMJ with no problems....
