I have in mind introducing my daughters to hunting with my Howa mini grendel as well....

Why would you get this instead of the 6.5CM? Howa and CZ are at least mini-actions, which saves about a pound and is easier to cycle.

Also the Howa comes in a 22in pencil barrel, and is cheaper...

(Yes, the rings cost 2/3 the price of the scope.)
