I remember needing to trim for a proper fit in the "V" blocks. Not the stock but one of the metal blocks didn't actually fit and had to be filed down a bit.

I didn't see anyone mention the windshield on your Ranger. Take it off when it's dusty. Only use when it's wet. Will make a big difference.
