I would say the dedicated pig feeder idea is working well

We have no cows on the place so initially we built no feeder pens. Then the pigs showed up en masse. We built pens around most of the feeders - but we like to kill pigs - so we decided to “bunch’em”...

Rain jackets can be bulky - make sure your sleeve won't impede the bowstring. I shoot feathers so I cover them with a baggie. They make waterproofing spray for them but I've not tried it.

For my pop up platform - I mounted a 3 foot long 2x4 on a 10"x10" square of plywood which I screwed into the floor. Then just screwed a hook into the 2x4 at the proper height.
