Shot a deer earlier this year with my AR10 with a lantac dragon comp.

Loved it. No recoil, watched the deer hit the ground through the scope. I carried ear muffs with me, and definitely used them.

If you’re serious about hunting with slugs, I would definitely go with a cantilever rifled barrel.

My mossberg 930 shoots Fiocchi 7/8oz reduced recoil around 2” at 50 with Williams fire sights.

I’d skip the Grendel in a bolt gun.

I like a little more bullet diameter/weight than the .243 has to offer, so I’d opt for the creed. That being said the 243 would be just fine.
