Good info! I'll likely be using some sort of lanyard for spot and stalk type hunts. It sounds like yours is pretty simple and lightweight compared to paracord.

It sounds like you may have light trigger tension. I kept the standard spring because I don't want it too sensitive to avoid misfires or have it bump something while I'm walking and lose it.
