Stinger 150s have been what I go back to for almost everything. Ive tried zwickey and killed some animals but the stingers fly better and are ready to go out of the package. The warranty is awesome...

Skeeters made a lot of transoms that rot pretty bad back in the day. My boat was a 99 and it rotted. Not sure when they got rid of the wood.

I did one myself and it turned out pretty good. Cut the fiberglass cap off, dig out all the old wood, pour in the new transom. I think total cost was like $180.
