Yes. 12 lb at 3 minutes per pound in the fryer is the way to go. Bigger than that and they will be too crispy on the outside and not cooked enough inside.

It's the truth. I don't have a picture of a deer over 3.5 this season on 800 acres. Doesn't mean they don't show up occasionally, but the vast majority are 3.5 and under in our area.

Agree on Coppersmith. Worth the money. I saved a few hundred bucks last trip by picking up my own stuff at Delta Cargo and clearing it with USFWS and customs. Not worth the hassle, IMO.
