SpyPoint Link Micro

Anybody here use them? what is your opinion?

roughneck266 06-02-2019 08:04 PM

I think the micro is pretty new. I do love the price point though. Wishing I hadn't bought 2 of the link-s models now.

Not trying to hijack your thread but I was looking at these this morning. Does anyone know if the picture plans are per camera or can you run multiple cams under one of the subscription plans?

Pretty sure they are per camera. I know the ones I have now are. That said, I believe these have to go to a different website to view pics, so they could be different.

No problem? That is something that I'd need to know as well

I just bought 2 and have only tried them at home. I put them on a ledge, waist high, and catch vehicles driving down my street between 10-20 mph. This pic was taken approximately 15-yards away. Then sends me the pics. Taking them to lease next week.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e4b2ac92c2.jpg

I was hoping I could get multiple cams under one plan. I can’t justify paying for a $10 plan per camera.

I think Cuddeback has a solution for that.

Yes they do. Iíve been eyeballing that cuddylink system too.

marshman 06-03-2019 11:55 PM

I’ve read favorable reviews on them.

Are you paying for 2 plans with your two cams? Do you notice any change in the clarity or battery life on these? Interested in this new price point for these wireless cameras; hopefully the rest of the market follows.

Man 06-04-2019 05:52 PM

So these don't have the capability to text you the image?

Anyone have any deer photos with this cam?

cwbow 06-04-2019 06:31 PM

I tested one for a friend and got real good animals pics day and night. No problems other than lack of signal, that's only because the service is low in the area. You can get unlimited pictures for $30 a month. I know that's high!

roughneck266 06-04-2019 09:07 PM

Dang. Mine is 15 a month. I do the annual though. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4fae331678.jpg

Where do you go to set that up?

I’m very intrigued by this but my concern with all cameras like this is cell service. Our lease has very hit or miss coverage. Don’t want to spend the cash if it’s not going to work.

Sorry, I meant where did you go in the app or online to set it up to text the pictures to you?

I won one in a raffle. On their website it says 100 free pics a month. Is this all the time are only the first month?

Thatís every month. Itís a free plan. It quits sending after 100 pics. At the end of 30 days itíll start sending again. So if you put it in a spot with a really low picture volume, you could run it indefinitely w/o paying for a plan.

Don't think it sends all the pics. Only get about 4 off each one in the morn and the in the afternoon. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f71df6aac9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a5b2cea919.jpg

I have two Iím sending back for replacement. They donít connect consistently and when they do they connect to the wrong network. My Verizon Link Micro connects to either AT&T or T-Mobile. I have a Link Dark that works fine.

I wasn't hoping these would get good reviews. I like the price.

Hoggslayer 06-11-2019 04:16 PM

I set mine up last night and it seams to be working good so far.

Every spypoint Iíve ever owned is junk theyíre comparable to WGI imo... may get lucky here an there, but overall theyíre trash. Customer service isnít much better

I agree from my experience. I had the LynkS I think it was called. It was terrible. I was hoping this generation of cameras would be better. Oh well.

In for reviews

wellingtontx 06-12-2019 06:40 PM

I had one. Loved the Spypoint Ap. Very easy to use. Camera took decent pics and sent them to me flawlessly while in the DFW area. My location is fairly remote so when I took it to the lease, I could not get it to link to a cell signal - even with a long distance cell antenna hooked up on a pole. So it was returned.

Just bought a Cuddeback Cell Camera that I am going to put on top of a hill, then have it linked to a Cuddelink Camera down in the bottom at the feeder. Hopefully it will connect. If it doesnt, it will get returned as well.

marshman 06-21-2019 10:46 PM

any more updates?

Texas660 06-21-2019 11:03 PM

I have two of the Link Micro cameras on my property. They have only been running for 3 weeks but so far so good. I did put lithium batteries in them and both still show 100% on the battery indicator. The pictures it sends are not the greatest but good enough to tell whats showing up.

Spoiled_TN_boy 06-21-2019 11:15 PM

Academy has a flyer posted up with these cameras stating pricing for unlimited is $10/mo

BCBHunter712 06-24-2019 08:15 PM

Those that have them, does the camera save an image on the micro sd card and send to the app or only one spot?

Saves on SD and sends on app

SD images are more clear than what is sent

BCBHunter712 06-24-2019 09:34 PM

Thanks

AntlerCollector 06-24-2019 11:38 PM

Are these about $150?

marshman 06-25-2019 12:03 AM

I see Academy sells a Verizon one and a nationwide one. But Trailcampro has an AT&T one as well. Don’t these work off whatever tower they pick up? I have AT&T for my cell service and my signal is pretty good on much of my lease. Which one would I be better off getting?

I bought two, one for $135 and one for $139.

JLivi1224 07-20-2019 05:13 PM

Guys academy is running these for $119 right now. Along with their $20 off $100+ coupon, they can be had for $99! A cell cam at $100. Sign me up.

BCBHunter712 07-20-2019 05:18 PM

Cost me $106.24 shipped to my door last night lol

BCBHunter712 07-20-2019 05:18 PM

Plus I got a $50 mail in rebate from spypoint for using their friend referral program

Big pig 07-20-2019 05:39 PM

I just paid $108.24 in store with the $20 coupon.

Cell service is my biggest issue

BP

Rickybobby8 07-20-2019 05:46 PM

The nationwide one uses att/Sprint/TMobile....whichever gets the best signal

Texas660 07-20-2019 06:53 PM

I've had two of them on my property for over a month now with lithium batteries. They seem to be doing pretty good. The pics that it uploads to the app are low resolution but good enough to know whats going on. The plan price is per camera and if you pay for a year up front its not unreasonable. I have been happy so far.

BCBHunter712 07-20-2019 10:51 PM

I paired all of mine with solar/12v setups and I'll never have to worry as long as squirrels or coons dont jack em up. I'm loving them

lilbradford 07-21-2019 08:57 AM

I have one and will be returning it. Was taking good amounts of pictures but then it just stopped.

Norseman 07-21-2019 01:21 PM

Got my first images sent to me last night. Still playing with the settings. Image quality is so so in my opinion. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f0b8f538d5.jpg
